Hello! Grab a cup of coffee, snuggle up, and enjoy my classroom!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen this post. If you don’t… well, you really should! If you want to get an inside look at my daily happenings as a teacher, then this is the place to be! Here is a featured picture of my Focus board complete with the date, standard objectives, current read alouds, and our daily schedule. On the far right side you can vaguely see me homework board.
Classroom view from my small group table.
I post a lot of the things we do in class on Instagram. This is my Instagram wall where I post a lot of personal and classroom Insta-photos.
This is the view from my classroom door.
This is my oh-s0-cute school bus that I made for my classroom door. I also have one for front door at home! 🙂
This is my document camera station. I spend a lot of time here going over seat work, homework, and modeling writing/responding to texts.
This is just an area near my desk where I store all my clutter junk! 🙂
This is my desk. I have a small room so I have to place it against the wall. The only time I really ever sit here is when my students are not in the room.
This is my task card organization. You can download the tabs here. I got the baskets last spring in the Target dollar spot.
This is my area beside/behind my small group table. This is where I keep the teaching resources that I use on a daily basis.

Another view from the back of the classroom looking at my board.
Oh how nice that rug is. I still wish it looked like this! This is my classroom library. The green board is actually a magnetic dry-erase board that I covered in fabric. I put some of my anchor charts here with magnets. They change out depending on what we are learning.
These are my open house/ parent night flip books that I LOVE! You can download them here.
We do a lot of speaking and listening in 5th grade. This is a picture of my Listening & Speaking posters that you can download here.
This is my storage area where I keep all my classroom supplies. The kids are free to use any of these at any time without asking.
After reading Word Nerds this past summer, I started using this vocabulary system. You can read about it here.
